This is just cuz I like it. It was written on the General Hospital Soap Opera forum from www.TelevisionWithoutPity.com.
It just amuses me because it's so true. And after working 11 hours without actual breaks on a day when I was supposed to work 8 makes me appreciate the funny. Feel free to ignore.
GH Drops Continuity and Logic to Recurring Status
Dateline: August 9, 2005 - Burbank, CA
In a move that came as no surprise to observers, ABC Daytime announced today that daytime drama General Hospital has bumped Logic and Continuity to recurring status. "Logic and Continuity are true professionals, and we wish them well in their future endeavors," stated ABC Daytime Vice President Brian Frons.
GH Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps expanded on the subject. "Logic and Continuity have been integral parts of GH for several years. Unfortunately, with the stories we have planned for the next several months, we see no place for Logic and Continuity on the GH canvas. Hopefully, we will be able to bring them back in the future." Co-headwriter Bob Guza added, "Chuck [Pratt, co-headwriter] and I absolutely hate losing Logic and Continuity, but we had no choice but to get rid of them."
Logic and Continuity were unavailable for comment, but it seems unlikely that either will be out of work for long. Continuity's agent revealed that his client has been approached by all of the CBS soaps and expects to sign with one of them soon. "We are pleased that CBS appreciates Continuity's place in daytime," he added. Logic has also apparently received several attractive offers, not only from several CBS shows, but also, in a surprise to insiders, from Days of Our Lives. "Logic may be just the boost that Days of Our Lives is looking for," teased Days head writer James Reilly. Logic's agent indicated that they were reviewing all offers and expected to make a final decision by the end of the week.
